LCCI lauds turnout, conduct at Lagos 2015 Trade Fair

The Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) on Saturday expressed satisfaction at the turnout and conduct of exhibitors at the 2015 edition of the Lagos International Trade Fair.

Dr Michael Olawale-Cole, the Chairman, Trade Promotions Board of the LCCI, disclosed this during a news conference to evaluate the activities of the ongoing trade fair at the Tafawa Balewa Square, Onikan, Lagos.

Olawale-Cole said that the 2015 trade fair, being the 29th edition, witnessed more investors and exhibitors, adding that the chamber was pleased at the general conduct at the Fair.

He noted that LCCI provided adequate security at the venue to prevent hoodlums from having access to steal at the venue.

The chairman explained that the chamber also provided 19 toilets and bathrooms to ensure that exhibitors and visitors at the fair do not mess up the arena.

“The chamber engaged a private company to ensure the cleanliness of the environment,’’ he said.

Also speaking, Mr Segun Alabi, the Communications Manager, LCCI, enjoined visitors to leverage on the exhibitions and activities at the Freedom Park, venue for the creative industry Fair.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the theme of the Fair is: “Enhancing Value Addition in the Non-Oil Economy.’’
