Adeniji, Onobi Top Nigeria’s CHAN Squad
WITH Gbolahan Salami opting out of the squad, Sunshine Stars’ striker Tunde Adeniji and Abia Warriors Chisom Chikatara lead the Super Eagles to Rwanda for the CHAN title.
According to GOAL, Nigeria has named her 23-man squad players for the 2016 African Nations Championship in Rwanda.
The Super Eagles will face Niger Republic, Tunisia and Guinea in Group C.
Regular suspects like Ikechukwu Ezenwa, Chisom Chikatara, Chima Akas, Austin Obaroakpo, Paul Onobi, Ezekiel Bassey and Tunde Adeniji made the list while Heartland duo, David Obizor and Julius Ubido were axed.
There are three goalkeepers, eight defenders, seven midfielders and five strikers.
Nigeria kick off their campaign against Niger Republic on January 18 at the Stade Regional Nyamirambo.
