Buhari’s Rule Is Disappointing To Nigerians – Fasehun

Founder of the Oodua Peoples Congress (OPC), Dr. Frederick Fasehun, yesterday took a swipe at the President Muhammadu Buhari led government, saying Nigerians who voted overwhelmingly for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the last general elections, are already disappointed with the seven month old administration.

Speaking on Monday, in Lagos at an interactive session with newsmen, Fasehun, who is the national chairman of the Unity Party of Nigeria (UPN), stated that Nigerians are not happy with developments in the economy, security and other sectors, adding that the administration should settle down for governance rather than resort to propaganda.
According to Fasehun, “What we are seeing now is a repeat of what happened in 1983 when Buhari was military of head of state. We’ve boxed ourselves to a corner. This is not the change we envisaged.

“The highly proclaimed change has turned out negative and Nigerians are disappointed already in the government. People are suffering and if anything, what we have seen so far is not a positive change but a negative change.”
While stressing that there is a lockdown in the economy, he urged the APC-led government to get its acts together, adding that “Once an election is over, we must come to an end of propaganda and settle down for real governance.”
