Diamond Bank has commenced the 11th season of its DiamondXtra promo as part of its continuous drive to encourage savings culture and reward its loyal customer.

The bank also said it planned to continue the promo after its merger with Access Bank must have been concluded.

During the launch of its 11th season in Lagos, the Head, Retail Banking, Diamond Bank, Mr Robert Giles, said the bank would also introduce two new segments to the scheme.

Giles said, “This prize draw has rewarded over 15,000 customers with prizes of over N5bn and we are only going to get bigger and better. We have struck through to our promise of listening to customers on what they want in DiamondXtra and so we changed this year by adding two new prize draws.

“The first is for senior citizens. This year, in August, we would be having a special prize draw for 10 senior citizens to win N500,000 and one lucky senior citizen would win N100,000 every month for a year. The second new draw is for customers who have been with us for five years or more. We are having a draw where 45 customers would win prizes just for being with us for five years or more.”

He said the additional segments would not interfere with the previous prize giveaways.

He added, “Also the salary for life is here to stay and there would be millionaires every month. We will also be giving out education grants for five years and we are giving away all the additional prizes such as rent advance for a full year.”

Speaking on the merger, he said, “As we come together to form a stronger institution and to form a larger institution with the biggest number in Nigeria, DiamondXtra is here to stay.”

The Head, Consumer Banking, Mrs Karimont Tukur, said even after the merger, it would retain the DiamondXtra rewarding scheme as well as retain ‘DiamondXtra’ name.

She said, “DiamondXtra continues to change lives and I am more excited it is now bigger and better with the new offering of representing our senior citizens and loyal customers.”
