HUNTSVILLE, Texas (AP) — Luke Anthony threw for 156 yards and one touchdown and Tracy James ran for 111 yards and another score as Abilene Christian rallied for its fourth-straight win, beating Sam Houston State 17-10 in Southland Conference action on Saturday.

Sam Houston State took a 10-7 lead early in the third quarter when Ty Brock hit Nathan Stewart on an 88-yard scoring strike. The Wildcats answered on the next series with a 75-yard, 12-play drive capped by Anthony’s 13-yard touchdown toss to Cody Ennis with 5:29 remaining in the third. Oscar Hernandez added a 41-yard field goal early in the fourth for the final score.

Abilene Christian (6-4, 5-3) forced the Bearkats to punt on the next three series and Jack Gibbens picked off Brock on SHSU’s final drive in the closing minutes to secure ACU’s first win over the Bearkats since 1983.
