Naira depreciates to ₦362.40/USD in I&E window

The Naira, yesterday, depreciated by 62 kobo to ₦362.40 in the Investors and Exporters (I&E) window as the volume of dollar traded increased by $90.01 million (89 percent).

Data from FMDQ showed that the indicative exchange rate for the window rose to ₦362.40 per dollar yesterday from ₦361.78 per dollar on Monday, indicating 62 kobo depreciation of the Naira.

The volume of dollars traded in the window yesterday increased by 89 percent to $190.68 million from $100.67 million traded on Monday. However, the naira appreciated to ₦358.2 per dollar yesterday in the parallel market.

According to naijabdcs.com, the live exchange rate platform of the Association of Bureaux De Change Operators of Nigeria (ABCON), the parallel market exchange dropped to N358.2 per dollar from N358.3 per dollar on Monday, indicating 10 kobo appreciation of the Naira.
