Syndergaard returns from DL, will start Friday vs….

The Mets have activated right-handed pitcher Noah Syndergaard, who is scheduled to start Friday night against Washington, from the 10-day disabled list.

Syndergaard, 25, will make his first start in seven weeks. He was placed on the disabled list on May 26 with a strained ligament in his right index finger. He pitched in a rehab game Sunday for Single-A Brooklyn, scattering two hits and one run over five innings.

He threw a bullpen session on Wednesday and reported after that he “feels great,” manager Mickey Callaway told reporters on Thursday.

On the season, Syndergaard is 4-1 with a 3.06 ERA in 11 starts.
