The Dallas Stars re-signed restricted free agent center Devin Shore to a two-year deal worth $4.6 million, the team announced Friday.

The agreement means an arbitration hearing that was scheduled for next Friday won’t be necessary.

Shore, who turns 24 on Thursday, made $832,500 last season while playing in all 82 games for the second consecutive campaign.

He finished with 11 goals and 21 assists, nearly identical to his 2016-17 line (13 goals, 20 assists), although his rating dipped from minus-4 to minus-30. He averaged 15:26 of ice time per game, fifth-most among Dallas forwards.

A second-round pick by the Stars in 2012, Shore had played in only three NHL games before earning a full-time role in Dallas in the 2016-17 and 2017-18 seasons.

Dallas has two other players who remain on course for arbitration. Mattias Janmark’s hearing is scheduled for Aug. 3, and Gemel Smith’s is set for Aug. 1.

Janmark, 25, finished fourth on the team in goals (19) and fifth in points (34) last season.
