South Africa’s May manufacturing output up 2.3 percent

JOHANNESBURG (Reuters) – South Africa’s manufacturing output expanded by 2.3 percent year-on-year in May, following a revised 1 percent expansion in April, the statistics agency said on Thursday.

Statistics South Africa said factory production on a month-on-month basis expanded 1.5 percent in May, but in the three months to May it decreased by 1.5 percent versus the previous three months.
