W. Africa Crude-Fresh Angolan on offer, Pertamina mops up some Nigerian
LONDON, May 25 (Reuters) – Asian tenders continued to mop up some of the overhang of Nigerian crude from June on Friday though U.S. grades provided some competition.
* Chevron offered some Angolan cargoes. It showed a cargo of Cabinda at dated Brent minus 40 cents a barrel and Nemba at dated Brent flat.
* Angolan grades Sangos and Kissanje were offered this week at discounts between 75 cents and $1.00 to the dated price.
* Between 15 and 20 Nigerian June loading cargoes remain unsold.
* Shell said on Friday that the Nigerian Trans Ramos pipeline that feeds some crude to the major Forcados export terminal has been shut since April 24 due to leaks. The major did not disclose the lost volume.
* Traders said that the impact has not been felt. Delays on Forcados loadings had already been building up due to the week-long shutdown of the Trans-Forcados pipeline, the main export pipeline, that restarted earlier this week.
TENDERS
* Indonesia’s Pertamina took Nigerian Agbami and U.S. grade Bakken in its latest tender for Aug. 1-10, Aug. 16-20 or early September delivery, a trader said. Volumes did not immediately emerge.
* Petroperu has launched a tender to buy two 380,000-barrel cargoes of a Latin American, West African or U.S. crude for delivery July 5-25 at Talara and Conchan.
* Thailand’s PTT is looking to buy between 300,000 and 1 million barrels of light sweet crude for delivery between mid-July and mid-August. (Reporting By Julia Payne; Editing by Elaine Hardcastle) ))
