Med-View Airline appoints two directors

The Board of Medview Airline Plc has appointed Ambassador Babatunde Olanrewaju Ajisomo and Fatima Ummi Idris as its directors.

The airline said it had also informed the company’s shareholders, The Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) and other stakeholders of the appointments.

A statement from the company said that the appointments would, however, be subjected to the ratification of the shareholders at its next Annual General Meeting (AGM).

Ajisomo joined the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1982 and served in various departments, namely protocol, West African affairs, finance and budget, African affairs, trade and investment, European Affairs, South American and the Caribbean Affairs departments.

Ajisomo obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science from University of Lagos and a Professional Certificate in international relations, law and diplomacy at the Foreign Service Academy (FSA) of the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1983.

He holds a master degree in Diplomacy and international Relations (MILD) from University of Lagos, Nigeria between 1990 and 1992.

Also, he has served at the Embassy of Nigeria, Cotonou, Republic of Benin between 1986 and 1989 as second and first secretary and covered political, consular and information activities.

He was appointed as deputy head of mission to the Embassy of Nigeria, Bangkok, Thailand between July 2012 and April 2013 and co-coordinated all activities of the mission.

Also, Idris holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmaceutical Science from De Montfort University, Leicester in 2014 and a Master of Science in Pharmaceutical Quality by Design from De Montfort University, Leicester 2015.

She joined Federal Staff Hospital, Garki, Abuja between July and Sept 2009 as student doctor.

Also Idris has worked as a mathematics teacher at Unguwar Rimi Girls Government School, Kaduna between January and September, 2016.

She is currently pursuing her Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Pharmaceutical Science at De Montfort University, Leicester.
