Investors gain ₦110 billion amid the rise of 28 stocks
Investors in the nation’s stock market gained ₦110bn in value on Monday as 28 stocks recorded price appreciation at the end of trading on the floor of the Nigerian Stock Exchange.
The NSE All-Share Index increased by 0.98 per cent to close at 34,135.10 basis points, while the market capitalisation of listed equities appreciated to ₦11.804tn from ₦11.692tn on Friday.
The Cement Company of Northern Nigeria, which led the gainers on Monday, saw its share price rise by 10.17 per cent to close at ₦9.75.
The share prices of May & Baker Nigeria Plc and International Breweries Plc gained 9.87 per cent and 8.83 per cent, respectively, to close at ₦5.01 and ₦28.35.
AIICO Insurance Plc and Skye Bank Plc appreciated by 8.47 per cent and eight per cent, respectively, to close at ₦0.64 and ₦0.81 per share.
Nineteen companies, including Cap Plc, Mobil Oil Nigeria Plc, Forte Oil Plc and FBN Holdings Plc emerged losers at the close of trading on Monday.
