PZ Cussons gets ISO certification

PZ Cussons Nigeria Plc has been awarded an ISO 9001:2015 certification by Standards Organisation of Nigeria.

The Chairman, PZ Cussons Nigeria, Mr. Kola Jamodu, said during the presentation of the certificate to the company in Lagos that the firm was fully committed to manufacturing products that would exceed consumers’ expectations.

“This occasion is especially meaningful, as we have among us many technical experts and professionals who have made significant contributions in building up the quality management system that we have achieved today,” Jamodu said.

He said that the PZ Cussons factories in Ikorodu and Aba were established on the strategic direction, culture and value of the organisation.

He said the company’s products were safe to use and complied with standard specifications and requirements applicable to them.

According to him, the journey to the certification started in 2013.

The Director-General, SON, Mr. AbolomaOsita, said by the achievement, PZ Cussons had joined a privileged class of the ISO 9001:2015 quality management system certified organisations and a trailblazer for others to follow in the quest to achieve an enviable quality standard.

“This milestone achievement in the pursuit of service excellence and business practice in line with international best practices was commendable and worthy of emulation by all manufacturers and service providers in the country,” he said.

According to him, the certification now provides the firm a robust, globally recognised and acceptable solution to address challenges associated with managing internal and external issues and risks associated with the business and harnessing opportunities at its disposal.

He said that having been certified, the system had been placed on an annual surveillance to ensure continuing suitability and effectiveness of the implementation of the quality management system.
