The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has reversed the suspension of Heritage Capital Markets Ltd, correspondents has learnt.
In a release signed by SEC’s management, the capital market regulator revealed that it lifted the suspension on the company on Wednesday February 1, 2017.
Specifically, according to the circular published on its website, tagged: ‘Investors Alert: The Securities and Exchange Commission (“SEC”) the suspension of Heritage Capital Markets Ltd,’ the Commission disclosed that it lifted the suspension of Heritage Capital Markets Ltd together with its Directors and Sponsored Individuals on Wednesday February 1, 2017.
It may be recalled that SEC had suspended the company on 21st December 2016 over alleged share fraud. Available information however indicates that the house was suspended over a disagreement on the transmission of the late Cyril Ukachukwu’s shares and possible communication gap between the parties involved.
