Looks like Lil Wayne has announced his retirement from music

Looks like Lil Wayne is hanging up the mic, after announcing on Twitter he’s done.

The rapper tweeted: “I am now defenceless and mentally defeated and I leave gracefully and thankful I luh my fanz but I’m done.”

He didn’t clarify whether he was quitting the industry altogether, or just as a rapper.
The 33-year-old added he didn’t want “sympathy”

The rapper has been in the headlines for various reasons recently.

He’s been in a long standing feud with his label Cash Money Records over what appears to have been the delayed release of his 11th studio album, Tha Carter V, according to Billboard.

He had another shot at the label two days ago while on stage performing with Drake on the Miami leg his Summer Sixteen tour, according to the International Business Times.

Police in Miami also responded to an emergency 911 call to his home on La Gorce Island after reports of a shooting. It turned out to be a hoax.

His reps also confirmed that the star was “in good spirits” after suffering a number of seizures on a plane, which was forced to make an emergency landing back in June.
