3 men arraigned before H’Court for ‘defrauding’ Konga of N35m
Before the Federal High Court in Lagos yesterday, was a three men; arraigned for allegedly obtaining i-Phones worth N35million from an online shopping company, Konga, without paying for them.
According to correspondent, John Nweke, Stephen Anike and Kelechi Emenike were accused of issuing Konga with two bank cheques that bounced at presentation.
According to the police, the cheques “were dishonoured on the grounds that no funds were standing to the credit of the drawer of the cheques in the banks which the cheques were drawn.”
They were also accused of taking possession of the phones when they reasonably ought to have known that they stolen or proceeds of fraud.
The defendants pleaded not guilty.
Justice Abdulazeez Anka adjourned till October 10 for trial.
