Recruitment: Police Warns Against Falling Victims To Fraudsters

The Nigeria Police Force has cautioned unsuspecting job seekers not to fall victim to the activities of fraudsters parading themselves to be agents of the force, DailyPost report.

This was disclosed in a statement on Friday by the Force Spokesperson, Acting Assistant Commissioner of Police, ACP Olabisi Kolawole, in Abuja.

According to the statement, many Nigerian youths, seeking to be enlisted into the force, had been deceived by fraudsters into believing that recruitment was on.

“It has, therefore, become necessary once again to inform members of the public that no recruitment is taking place now at the force headquarters or at any of our institutions, commands and formations,” it said.

The statement noted that the force would inform the general public of the commencement of the exercise using the appropriate channels.

It further urged those seeking to get enlisted into the force not to make any payments to fraudsters disguising on Facebook and other platforms as agents of the Police.

The statement also advised the public to contact the police public relations officers in their respective states or the divisional police officers nearest to them about the exercise.
